PBS educational web site design. Hokusai is one of the famous ukiyo-e (floating world) woodblock printers of 19th century, Japan. Design concept is to create a feeling of the Japanese printing style by using some elements of the characteristics of Hokusai’s wood block printing, which is the use of indigo blue and abstract shape of motif.
